Handy Joe is a marketplace. We connect customers who need work done with independent providers. Customers choose providers; providers choose jobs. Handy Joe provides the marketplace, payment infrastructure, messaging, ratings and support.
No guarantees. We do not guarantee that a job will receive offers, that a provider will get work, or the quality of any provider's work. Providers are independent and are not Handy Joe employees.
Verification. Profiles clearly show which details Handy Joe has verified and which it has not. Not every provider is licensed. Work that legally requires a license may only be performed by appropriately licensed providers, and those categories require a verified license before offers can be sent.
Legal work only. Only legally permitted work may be posted.
Fees. Customers pay a small service fee shown before publishing and before paying. Providers pay a marketplace fee on each accepted job, shown before they send an offer, and — after their first successfully completed job — a monthly membership. All current prices are shown in the app.
Payments stay on Handy Joe. Payments for jobs found on Handy Joe must be made through Handy Joe. Payments are held and released to providers after the customer confirms completion. Refunds, cancellations and disputes are handled by Handy Joe support.
Conduct. Be respectful. You can report or block users. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
